On friday Febuary 22,2008 the island of Cuba changed. This was because their leader of 49 years Fidel Castro stepped down from his role as "Presidente" this was nothing new though...he un-officially stepped down 18 months ago because of an illness that is unknown. Many suspect that he has some form of terminal cancer and is unable to rule.
Raul was "elected" President several months ago. He is no stranger to the people of Cuba. He has been the person in control of the Army for quite a while. However Cuban Americans are reluctant to thinking that the change will do anything. This is because Raul has a reputation for being no non sense way of doing things.
